The results are in for the NCAA Basketball annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge. What were the takeaways from the teams who were able to play?

After a great “Feast Week”, that featured plenty of spectacular NCAA Basketball matchups last week, this week still had more to offer in the annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The ACC had won 12 of the 21 total “challenges” coming into this season, with the Big Ten taking six and three ties.

Last season, The Big Ten took it 8-6, meaning that the ACC was looking for revenge this time around. But first, we had to make sure that the games were even able to get played, due to the unique circumstances of playing in a pandemic.

Unfortunately, the challenge wasn’t spared from the cancellations either. Due to covid-related issues from the week prior, both Louisville and NC State had to each bow out, eliminating their potential matchups with Wisconsin and Michigan respectively. Those Big Ten schools were able to find alternative opponents on Wednesday, with Wisconsin beating Rhode Island and Michigan taking care of Toledo..

That still gave us 11 games to watch, with the first to get six wins. The Big Ten did that on the first night, winning six out of seven games. The ACC managed to sweep on Wednesday night, giving the final score of 6-5 for the Big Ten Conference. After Tuesday’s showing, the ACC was able to get some pride back.

There were a few blowouts but there also were some highly competitive matchups during these past two days. Going game-by-game, here’s an overall look at all of the teams as they go forward in the season.
