Week three is upon us and the NCAA Basketball season is getting into conference play. What were the reader’s questions this week?
It’s hard to believe that week three of the NCAA Basketball season is here which means that in this abbreviated season many teams are finishing up their non-conference season and gearing up for the conference season. Most coaches are going to say that the conference season is the most important part of their season and for pretty much every team that is true.
As everyone knows the non-conference portion is important as it provides the first opportunities for teams to impress the committee with huge wins. Some Mid Major schools have ridden the coattails of their one great win to get themselves into the NCAA tournament, especially if those teams get upset in their conference tournaments. The conference season is always my favorite time of year.
Week three of the mailbag was a week that only had two individuals ask some questions and one individual asked me multiple questions. I was able to provide the other question that I think many of the readers would like the answers to. This week has a lot of non-conference flair and focuses on some teams who are ranked. This week also has some coaches on the hot seat.
The main topic of discussion this week does deal with teams who are built for the long haul and which ones have taken some losses that may be hard to recover from when the selection committee is reviewing resumes. As always, like every week thanks to everyone for sending in their questions and reading these articles this is a great way for me to give back and answer your questions in an effective manner.
