Indiana Basketball will take on the Butler Bulldogs in what will be the 10th annual Crossroads Classic. Being from Indiana, this weekend is a big deal.

For those who don’t know, the Crossroads Classic is a 4-team event that includes the four major Indiana Basketball schools; Indiana, Butler, Purdue, and Notre Dame, respectively.

Four teams, two games, and the matchups rotate on a yearly basis.

Regarding Indiana and Butler, this will mark the fifth time they have met in this event, as they have met on each even year since 2012. The Hoosiers and Bulldogs are 2-2 in this event against each other, and ironically have the same record in this event of 6-3.

Each game, until this one on Saturday, has also included at least one of the teams being in the Top 25.

Of all the games since the Crossroads Classic began, none was bigger than Butler’s 88-86 overtime upset of then #1 Indiana when they met in the 2012 Crossroads Classic, with Alex Barlow making the game-winning floater.

In case you need some recollection, here are highlights from that incredible game, including Barlow’s game-winner.

While neither are ranked this year, you can expect a good game on Saturday night.

Regarding the Hoosiers, here are three keys to a victory over Butler.
