Four-star NCAA Basketball prospect Ramel Lloyd Jr. indicated this cut will be his only public narrowing of schools recruiting him.

The 6’6” guard is set to decide between Oregon, Rutgers, Illinois, Arkansas, Washington, Nebraska, Baylor, and Arizona. Over the summer, Ramel Lloyd revealed a few details with Rivals.com regarding a recruitment decision. Specifically elaborating “I’m just looking for a high major program where I can come in and play a big role.”

In his sophomore season at Taft HS (CA), the well-rounded guard scored 23 points and pulled down six rebounds per contest. His move to Sierra Canyon this season firmly places him in the spotlight of the nation’s top talent and on the road to increased notoriety. Lloyd already carries the physical frame to make an immediate impact at the collegiate level along with the scoring and defensive repertoire to garner early minutes with his chosen program.

Lloyd’s sophomore stats and overall game are indicative of a player ready to break through the next level of competition. Top end recruits in recent seasons, especially scoring-heavy wings and bigger 2-guards, have found lots of success making the transition to the D1 level and accomplishing the desired early impact. Lloyd already has good touch on his shot with consistency from all three levels but will find increased production due to his size and ability to rebound and defend against longer players.

With Lloyd revealing what he’s ideally looking for in a college program now public information, which of his remaining candidates best fits his criteria for early minutes and production?
