Arkansas Razorbacks

The Razorbacks have faired very well in the early stages of their 2020 campaign. Head coach Eric Musselman has done a tremendous job of combining talented freshman stars with accomplished transfer players to feature a top-20 offense and defense on this year’s team. It’s expected that a lot of this depth and talent with notably dwindle by the time the 2022 season rolls around and Musselman will again be forced to work his magic on the recruiting trail to rebuild it.

Currently, Arkansas will be relying on the trio of Khalen ‘KK’ Robinson, Davonte Davis, and Chance Moore as the only potential backcourt options entering that season. The Razorbacks are currently recruiting a plethora of top talent options to fill out the team’s depth, and at this stage, there’s no reason to expect that this would hurt Lloyd’s potential to make an immediate impact with the team.

Musselman’s typical 7-man rotation is only projected to be a little over half-filled for the 2022 season with forwards Connor Vanover and Jaylin Williams joining the aforementioned trio of guards in the rotation.

Lloyd’s combination of size, physicality, and scoring is an asset this team is yet to feature. Players like Moses Moody, Justin Smith, Jalen Tate, Mason Jones, and Isaiah Joe have thrived in the Razorbacks program as ‘bigger’ guards or wings that can float between the front and backcourt. It’s a perfect system for Lloyd to join and have an equal shot at thriving with a high expectation for playing time.
