NCAA Basketball Recruiting: 2022 4-star G Ramel Lloyd Jr. trims list to 8

Oregon Ducks
The top-end turnover from last year’s squad wasn’t ideal for the Ducks, but head coach Dana Altman managed to land some highly regarded transfers to make a seamless transition in 2021. The program is off to a great start this year and is carrying a lot of momentum as conference play approaches. A large reason for that has been the addition of proven players, like Eugene Omoruyi, Eric Williams, LJ Figueroa, and Chris Duarte, each of which is in the 6’5-6’7 range.
All of these players exhibit a lot of on-court flexibility and versatility to create a dynamic lineup for Oregon to utilize. They are capable of covering any opponent without suffering large chinks in their armor. The preference for these types of players seems to be high on Coach Altman’s list, maximizing utility per roster spot. The outlook for adding a player of Lloyd’s caliber is above average considering his potential fit and on-court usage.
He adds the same level of positional versatility and adds production at any number of positions. He’s a high-end rebounder and is comfortable playing without the ball in his hands. Lloyd would be a low-risk and high-reward type player for Oregon to capitalize on if they can out-recruit their Pac-12 foes and some national powers for his services.
