USC Trojans

Five-star freshman Evan Mobley (17.5 ppg and 8.7 rpg) is all but gone after this season to the NBA Draft. His older brother Isaiah is having an improved sophomore campaign and very well could be gone as well. Add senior grad transfer Chevez Goodwin and you have a situation where the Trojans will have to rebuild the entire frontcourt.

USC already has a ton of quality guards thanks to its 2021 recruiting class, so they can focus on adding several big men in the next year or so. Of course, that also means that there will be a new batch of transfers coming in to compete with Traore. If he’s willing to go out west there is potential with the Trojans, although what they look like a year from now will tell how viable an option they’ll be.

Virginia Tech Hokies

The Hokies had no big men a year ago but now have an All-ACC player in Wofford transfer Keve Aluma. His development is currently the biggest selling point head coach Mike Young has for future recruits such as Traore. With he and Justyn Mutts both likely gone two years from now, there is a major need for the program to land additional bigs in the 2021 and 2022 recruiting classes.

With a core group of talented underclassmen guards, Traore can come in and have good surrounding talent that’ll help speed up his development. Along with playing in the ACC and having plenty of available minutes, Virginia Tech could be the darkhorse candidate in this group to land the top-100 big man prospect.
