Baylor Bears
Already one of the top teams in the nation, the Bears are set to reload in the 2021 class with the trio of Kendall Brown, Langston Love, and Jeremy Sochan. While Baylor projects to possess loads of talent on their roster for years to come, it’s the signature of Brown that could provide an added incentive to commit to one of the Big 12’s top programs.
Brown and Dick both play at Sunrise Christian and could have developed a strong enough relationship to put something together at the next level. In fact, the Bears seem to be establishing a pipeline through Sunrise Christian with freshman guard Jordan Turner also part of the program.
While the specifics of Brown and Dick’s relationship are not thoroughly known, there are plenty of reasons for the latter to still don the green and gold. The Bears are set to lose a lot of talent in the next two seasons and will be an equally talented but younger version of their current squad.
Coach Scott Drew has divied out 15+ minutes per game this season to seven guards on his roster and has established a huge selling point for recruits taking a deeper look at Baylor. Under these circumstances, there is no need for Dick to be concerned by a lack of playing time or an inability to impact the program immediately.
His skillset is a match made in heaven with the Baylor program. With such heavy emphasis on guard play, Dick features the complete repertoire of production emitted by current guards on the roster. He is a complete shooting threat and can take the pressure off of other players on the floor, but Dick is also a strong rebounder and defensive prospect to contribute to the overall play of the Bears.
