There are a few new NCAA Basketball teams that have claimed spots in the latest top-25 power rankings.

We have another set of NCAA Basketball power rankings for this Sunday. There were plenty of interesting results this week throughout the conferences, with some teams making some big statements. That includes some at the top such as Gonzaga and Baylor, while the difficulty of league play is starting to get to others.

This week, there are five writers who compiled separate power rankings before combining them into one major set. There were 31 teams who got at least one vote, including the currently unbeaten Drake Bulldogs out of the Missouri Valley.

Some others who got votes outside of the top 25 include Florida State, Colorado, San Diego State, Rutgers, and Alabama, who came in at No. 26 overall. They may not have made the cut but we did have 25 who did. Here are the participating contributors and the results.

25. Duke Blue Devils (5-2, 3-0)

Finally, back on the court, the Blue Devils were without Coach K at home against Boston College and it nearly cost them. It was a close game throughout but they were able to get by with the one-point win after being down by eight at the half. It was the breakout performance many finally saw from Wendell Moore, scoring 25 points off the bench. The head coach was back for the Wake Forest game, with Duke winning 79-68.

The Blue Devils have just one game this time, on the road at Virginia Tech. At the moment, the team doesn’t have a good win on their resume, despite the national ranking. They’ll get the opportunity to do that this week.
