Big 12 Basketball: Baylor, Texas remain on top in 2020-21 power rankings

Even with their 9-4 record on the season, that record is very deceiving. TCU has played a well below average schedule, which seems to be a trend. Their best win in non-conference was a four-point win against Liberty. In their toughest game yet, the Horned Frogs got overwhelmed.
TCU lost by 29 to Kansas on Tuesday and got out-hustled throughout. They got doubled up in the rebounding category and shot just 42 percent from the field. Charles O’Bannon Jr. had a breakout game off the bench with 18 points. He was also the only player to make more than one three-pointer in the contest.
The Horned Frogs gauntlet did not get easier as it would be a home game against No.2 Baylor. After having a lead on the Bears in the first half, TCU could not finish strong. The Horned Frogs struggled with turnovers with 22 on the day and inefficient shooting.
Mike Miles was a huge bright spot, leading the team with 17 points. However, he finished just 3-11 and did not score a point in the second half. Veteran RJ Nembhard also added in 14 points for the Horned Frogs and was the leader in the second half.
The Horned Frogs aren’t able to win many games over the span of a season if they score just 49 points. However, Miles put on a highlight reel with two ankle breakers and a 60-foot three-pointer right before the half.
TCU will be on the road all week with their contests against Oklahoma and No.14 West Virginia.
