How are the AAC Basketball power rankings looking a few weeks into conference play? A clearer picture starts to take shape.

Proudly branding itself as a “Power 6” conference in the football world, AAC Basketball has been pretty consistent as a deep conference since its inception in 2013 as well. With some prominent national programs back on the rise and in the spotlight and the help of some rising programs that have lacked success on the men’s side in recent memory, the AAC has some individual studs and a team looking to play into April.

The AAC has been a four-team bid on three different occasions, and while this year doesn’t look like that will happen on paper, anything is possible, especially in a pandemic season. The conference is pretty spread out geographically and has had its fair share of COVID-19 challenges (several teams on pause and multiple canceled and rescheduled games) but some things are starting to look clear for the AAC basketball power rankings.

With only one team currently represented in AP Top 25, the conference as a whole is pretty evenly talented, and on any given day it looks like every team can come away with a win. There are a few surprises early on in the conference season and some familiar names also at the top with a logjam in the middle.
