As conference play continues, which head coaches find themselves on the hot seat and which ones’ jobs may be safe?

Even in a bizarre, pandemic-altered season, there are still some things in NCAA Basketball that never change. There will be postseason play in some form. There will be little known players that shine and find themselves getting drafted into the NBA. There are seniors who pour their hearts into their programs for four years and leave their mark on their fanbases. And finally, there will be numerous coaches looking for new jobs come March or April.

Aided by the pandemic, there were fewer head coaching changes than usual this past offseason, but that’s no reason to believe that this will happen again. If Wake Forest’s firing of Danny Manning proves anything, especially amidst a huge buyout, then these college basketball programs are not afraid to act if it’s in the best interest of their programs.

With the end of the season still a couple months away, it’s still too early to discuss which coaches could or should be fired or who could replace them. Instead, we’re going to take a closer look at ten high-profile programs that are struggling and talk about their head coaches a little. Would these programs be better off pulling the plug and bringing a new coaching system aboard, or is it time for a little patience?

It could be a wild offseason of coaching changes after last season’s tame maneuvers; how many of these ten programs will make a change? Without further ado, let’s start focusing one by one on some of these names and determine if they are on the hot seat and if a change is coming.
