In the latest ACC Basketball hierarchy, there has been a separation from the top and bottom half. Far as Bracketology is concerned, 6-7 teams have been projected as either in the Field of 68 or just out the field.

One of those teams “out” right now is the Duke Blue Devils, who are now under .500 for the season after consecutive losses to both North Carolina and Notre Dame. Meanwhile, another preseason favorite in Virginia continues to roll along in league play.

As for everyone else, it’s hard to say that they’re ups and downs when several teams weren’t even able to get on the court. Florida State, Louisville, and Boston College have been on “pause” due to covid-related issues, which has created a number of postponements.

But there have been games played, including some upsets that have occurred in the ACC. Here’s the latest look at where the 15 programs stand with a few weeks to go in the regular season.

15. Boston College Eagles (3-12, 1-8)

With every other team in the ACC having at least three wins in league play, there’s no other place for Boston College to be other than dead last. The lone win remains the 22-point blowout victory against Miami a few weeks ago, although they’ve had a few close calls that could’ve gone either way.

One of them was the most recent game, a 69-65 home loss to Wake Forest. Jay Heath had 20 points on 8/22 shooting, while CJ Felder having 17 points and 14 rebounds. That was the easiest game on paper left on the schedule for the Eagles, with four of six remaining coming on the road. After losing to the Demon Deacons, the odds of Boston College getting out of last place in the standings are slim to none.
