We have another talented player entering the NCAA Basketball transfer portal. This one comes from Robert Morris University in AJ Bramah. The 6’7 guard from Leandro, California was solid as a junior last year, going for 13.4 ppg and 8.2 rpg while shooting 57% from the field.

The Colonials moved from the Northeast Conference to the Horizon League this offseason and have struggled in year one, with a record of 4-11 (3-9). A bright spot for Robert Morris has been Bramah, who was putting up all-conference numbers. In 12 games, the senior put up 21.0 ppg and 10.3 rpg, including double-doubles in six of the last seven games.

Bramah hasn’t played in the past couple of weeks due to personal reasons and now we almost know the reason. The star of Robert Morris has decided to leave and enter the portal, effectively ending his 2020-21 season.

After two years at Sheridan College and two at Robert Morris, Bramah still has an extra year of eligibility thanks to the blanket waiver given to all players by the NCAA. He’ll be taking advantage of that as he likely looks to move up a level in the sport.

Bramah is an interesting player to gauge when it comes to his prospects in NCAA Basketball. Due to the lack of size at Robert Morris, the 6’7 had to play primarily in the frontcourt and was the team’s leading rebounder. But he plays with his back away from the basket and is comfortable operating on the perimeter. However, Bramah has taken a combined 3 three-point attempts in two years with the Colonials and would have to play a combo forward role for a power conference team.

Still, a player capable of averaging 20 ppg despite not having a three-point shot is very appealing for NCAA Basketball head coaches. And assuming that the NCAA approves a new first-time blanket waiver for all transfers, Bramah will be eligible to play next season.

Here are 10 programs that should make a run at the transfer wing/forward.
