6. Akron Zips

The Zips feature one of the more experienced stars of college basketball: Loren Christian Jackson. The senior has seen a lot in his career and is a player who knows how to win. Head coach John Groce has been very reliant on him in an effort to maintain 1st place in the Mid-American Conference and boast a top-30 offense nationally as a result.

Aside from Jackson leading the way at the top of the roster, Akron possesses a talented backcourt group who receive minutes in a disproportionate manner. Projected to lose half of their current stable of guards by the 2022 season, it’s a major priority to land a replacement with Holiman’s caliber.

The Zips are a heavy perimeter team and Holiman has more than displayed his prowess in that area this season. However, it may be his defense and playmaking that are going to provide some of the biggest improvements to the Akron roster should he decide to join. If he does pull the trigger here, Holiman would likely end up as a top-3 signee in program history.
