Georgia shoots 46.7% from 3-point range

It is no secret that the Georgia Bulldogs are not the best 3-point shooting team. Georgia as a team only shoots 32.1% from 3-point range, and to be quite honest, the Bulldogs don’t take many shots from behind the arch. However, on Tuesday night against Missouri, the Bulldogs were lighting it up from 3-point range.

Georgia went 7/15 from 3-point range (46.7%) compared to the Tigers who shot 6/26 (23.1%). You could make the argument that the shots just didn’t fall for Missouri, and while that would be correct, this was just a special 3-point shooting performance from Georgia based on the fact that they rarely take those shots.

To puts things in perspective Georgia only has two players that shoot above 35% from 3-point range, KD Johnson and Jaxon Etter. Those two combined only went 1/3 from behind the arch on Tuesday night. The difference came from players who rarely shoot those shots.

Toumani Camara, Justin Kier, PJ Horne, and Sahvir Wheeler all contributed to the shooting effort, all of which are 35% and below 3-point shooters. This was a special shooting effort from behind the arch for the Bulldogs, and if Georgia wants to improve and win more games like this going forward, they need to do it again.
