LSU Tigers

While LSU is 13-6 overall, the Tigers only have one bad loss on their resume this season, a road loss to Kentucky. If there is one team on this list that is the most talented, it’s the LSU Tigers.

LSU is led by one of the top scorers in all of college basketball in freshman guard Cameron Thomas. Thomas ranks 4th in the NCAA in PPG with 22.6 and shoots an impressive 40.4% from the field and 90.1% from the free throw line. The Tigers are also led by experienced juniors Ja’Vonte Smart and Darius Days, as well as do-it-all sophomore forward Trendon Watford.

While the Tigers are an excellent offensive team, the Tigers have struggled mightily on the defensive end this season. However, as LSU struggles on defense, they make up for it on offense.

This Tigers squad will be a dangerous opponent for any team in March, due to their potent offense and experience. LSU is currently listed by ESPN’s Joe Lunardi as an 8 seed and should be considered the favorite in a potential 8 vs 9 matchup.
