The Texas weather shook up the schedule of Big 12 Basketball, with four of the six mid-week games being canceled. That did not impact the excitement of the conference as the Saturday slate did not disappoint.

A huge upset ensued in Fort Worth as Kansas State picked up their second conference win of the season and their first win of 2021.

Oklahoma State picked up their second straight win, with a 76-58 win over Iowa State. The Cowboys were led by Cade Cunningham and his 21 points on 7-12  from the field.

Even with the number of losses every team has, there are still two teams that are in striking distance of Baylor. The lack of games from the Bears has hurt them and even given teams like Oklahoma, West Virginia, and Kansas to make a legit case to win the conference.

Baylor has played just nine conference games to this point and isn’t expected to complete the regular season schedule. Meanwhile, Oklahoma has had 13, West Virginia has had 12, and Kansas leads the conference with 16.

With the number of cancellations within the conference, the Power Rankings will be less traditional and be more of a look back at the week of the conference. Power Rankings, however, will be at the conclusion of the article.

Here’s a look at the three key takeaways from the conference and Power Rankings.
