12. Iowa Hawkeyes (17-7, 11-6)

It was a split for the Hawkeyes, beating Penn State at home as expected, before losing by 22 points against Michigan on the road. But an even bigger loss came with the season-ending injury to forward Jack Nunge, who was averaging 7.1 ppg and 5.3 rpg on the year. They’ll have to either extend Luka Garza’s minutes even more or go small-ball with Keegan Murray at the five-spot going forward.

We’ll see how they adjust in the upcoming week, taking on Ohio State on Sunday, before facing off against both Nebraska and Wisconsin at home. Beating the Buckeyes would go a long way towards guaranteeing a top seed, while the other two are just needed to avoid damage.

11. Florida State Seminoles (14-4, 10-3)

After beating Miami on the road by 17 points, the Seminoles had a chance to lock up the ACC regular-season title with a win at North Carolina. But the Tar Heels, who were clearly on the bubble after a bad loss to Marquette, came out blazing. Florida State couldn’t match them for all 40 minutes, eventually falling 78-70. Raiquan Gray had 17 points and eight rebounds but was the lone starter in double figures.

Even with the loss to UNC, the Seminoles still have a one-game lead for the ACC title over Virginia and Virginia Tech. And as they’ll clinch that and the No. 1 overall seed for the conference tournament, as long as they don’t suffer an upset against either Notre Dame or Boston College.

10. Arkansas Razorbacks (19-5, 11-4)

If you weren’t a huge believer in the Hogs before this past week should change that. They defeated the top team in the SEC in Alabama by a convincing 15 points at home, before taking care of LSU, 83-78. Justin Smith led the way with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Jd Notae and Moses Moody each had 18.

Arkansas now has a six-game winning streak and now faces two of the worst teams in the SEC in Texas A&M and South Carolina. They’ve but guaranteed themselves a 2 seed in the conference tournament but these games will help them land a possible top-4 seed in the Big Dance.
