While the majority of College Basketball had their eyes on Baylor, Oklahoma was sleepwalking in Manhattan. A 7-0 run from Kansas State had the Sooners tied after 20 minutes.

The Sooners got behind seven, five minutes into halftime and were able to get the game tied back again. However, Oklahoma was just not able to get over the hump, led by a heroic effort from Austin Reaves. When no one else on the team was playing well, it was Reaves that was carrying the workload.

Reaves finished with 25 points, 9-18 from the field, and six rebounds. Umoja Gibson was 2-11 from the field, Brady Manek was 1-7 and only got five bench points from four players. Not only does the game kick Oklahoma out of the Big 12 title picture, but a dimensioning resume loss.

Oklahoma’s nightmare of a week continued on Saturday, as they dropped to the rival Cowboys in Norman.

Down two and eight seconds to go, Manek would cut to the basket to tie the game and send it into overtime. However, Oklahoma didn’t make a field goal over the final 2:41 of the overtime period and fell to the Cowboys.

The Sooners played a good game as well, with excellent shooting splits of 49/43/70. They also got 23 from Reaves and 22 from Manek. Gibson added 14 points on 4-8 from the field. However, the Sooners also could not hold Cunningham down.

Oklahoma has a chance to rebound on Monday in their regular-season finale in Stillwater with a rematch of the Cowboys.
