14. Fordham Rams
- 2020-21 record: 2-11 overall, 2-11 A-10
- Previous ranking: 13th
Things have – quite literally – not changed for the Fordham Rams in the past two weeks. In the last edition of these power rankings, the Rams sat at 2-11 overall – and now, two weeks later, they still sit with that record.
Due to a campus-wide COVID-19 shutdown halfway through February, the Rams – who were coming off back-to-back blowouts to George Mason and Saint Louis after defeating La Salle – were forced to cancel their three subsequent games.
To say the least, those cancellations are extremely frustrating for a Fordham squad that could have scooped up two wins in those three games against Saint Joseph’s and La Salle – with the other game being at Richmond. Instead, Fordham will now enter the A-10 Tournament as the lowest-seed and will take on a George Washington team that blew out the Rams back at the end of December, 71-47.
When the last rankings were released, the Rams were coming off the loss to Saint Louis – which occurred a day before those rankings. Now, it has been nearly three weeks since the Rams have lined up against another team. Additionally, the Rams are still on the hunt for a head coach, with Michael DePaoli currently leading the way on the sidelines as an interim after the firing of Jeff Neubauer.
