Key Teams

The favorite going into the tournament in Oregon. They are the 1 seed, the best team in the league, and have been playing really good Basketball as of late.

The team that could give them the biggest scare is the USC Trojans. Oregon recently blew out USC, but USC is the 2nd most athletic team in the league and you’d figure they’d bounce back after such a poor performance.

Another team that could potentially give Oregon a scare is Colorado. Along with USC, Colorado is a top 20 team on Kenpom ranking 15 ” USC” and 16 “Colorado”. Colorado is an old team that can knock down shots. Oregon is 1-1 against the Buffalo’s this year losing 79-72 without Will Richardson and won 60-56.

A team that I think could make a dark-horse run is maybe Stanford. The Cardinal have a lot of talent and should get past Cal in the first round. Then they will play Colorado, The Buffalo’s handled them easily the first two matchups they faced off but maybe things will change the 3rd time. Stanford is a talented team that has underachieved but they have lots of talent and could get hot.

Honestly, I’d be pretty surprised if anyone won the championship outside of Oregon, USC, or Colorado. UCLA is a good team that’s lost three in a row and hasn’t been playing great basketball in the last month or so. I don’t think any of the other teams in the league have the talent to win three or four games in a row.
