The Southeastern Conference will likely be one of the more prevalent conferences when the field of 68 is officially announced. Its members have been battle-tested and a good portion of its teams have spent some time within the nation’s top-25 at one point or another. Currently, the SEC is projected to see six schools receive selections to the tournament: Alabama (2), LSU (8), Arkansas (3), Florida (9), Tennessee (6), and Missouri (8).

While each of these teams is pretty safe in terms of their consideration for tournament participation and selection next weekend, there remains an outside chance for another program to enter the field as well. Ole Miss is within the first dozen teams in line to miss the official bracket selection and could find a way to play themselves into the field with strong performances in the SEC tournament.
