With March now in full swing, a loss this time of year can be detrimental to your team’s chances of either playing in the NCAA Tournament or can impact your seeding in some way. The only way to combat that is to simply win, and the SEC Basketball Tournament provides a last opportunity to pick up wins before Selection Sunday.

After missing out last season, the SEC Tournament has returned with this year’s version having some massive stakes on the line for a few teams in particular. Can Ole Miss keep their NCAA Tournament hopes alive? Can the Cats run the table to somehow go dancing? Will Alabama be a 1-seed? These are just a few questions that will be answered this week.

We know about all of the spectacular players that we have seen in the SEC this season. Everyone knows the production that we will get this week from players such as Moses Moody, Herbert Jones, Cameron Thomas, and much more, but what about the “other guys?”

These players don’t necessarily have the star power and production of the players mentioned previously, but each of these players will be vital to their team’s chances this week of winning. Some of these players are the best on their teams, while others may be role players or a step under the top level.

These players all have the ability to get hot at any time and can carry their teams to a win when it will be needed most this week. With the SEC Tournament set to begin on Wednesday, let’s take a look at a few players that could decide how this year’s SEC Tournament will play out based on how they perform on the court.
