After Missouri held on to defeat Georgia 73-70 on Thursday night, the Tigers now face a red-hot Arkansas team in the Quarterfinals.

There may be no hotter team in college basketball currently than the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Razorbacks enter Nashville having won 11 SEC games in a row to currently sit at 21-5 overall, the #8 team in the country, and the 2-seed in the SEC Tournament.

The Razorbacks are one of the top offensive teams in all of college basketball averaging 83.3 PPG, and are led by the SEC Freshman of the Year Moses Moody. Moody comes into Nashville averaging 17.5 PPG and 5.7 RPG on 44.1% shooting, as well as shooting 82.8% from the free-throw line. Eric Musselman’s Razorbacks are red-hot currently and are hard to pick against any team the way they’re currently playing.

Meanwhile, Missouri held on to a 73-70 Second Round win over Georgia on Thursday night. While this wasn’t Missouri’s best game of the season, the Tigers are certainly capable of bouncing back in a big way.

The Tigers got double-digit performances from four players on Thursday night as Missouri got a combined 59 points from Xavier Pinson, Kobe Brown, Dru Smith, and Jeremiah Tilmon. The Tigers are one of the most experienced teams in college basketball and can play with anyone in the SEC. Can the Tigers break the Hogs winning streak, or will they become Arkansas’ twelfth consecutive SEC win?

Arkansas and Missouri split the season series between the two at a game apiece, both of which won on the road. This game will certainly be one to see as this could honestly be a toss-up. Both the Razorbacks and Tigers have the experience, and both have players capable of taking over the game at any time. Expect this game to be close throughout, with a potential late Arkansas’ run being the difference.

Prediction: Arkansas 78, Missouri 70
