Wisconsin Badgers vs. St. Bonaventure Bonnies

Okay, maybe this isn’t the game for 95% of people, but if you like defense, this is the game for you. The first team to 45 points might be enough to be victorious if this battle were to come to fruition. Another group of teams who will most likely be on the 7/10 or 8/9 portion of the bracket, these two teams would create a dogfight of a game, where every three-pointer would feel doubled.

Wisconsin has definitely been on the wrong side of Big 10 play. It’s going to be hard for any person to trust the Badgers, but maybe their struggles are due to conference play. Losers of eight out of their last twelve, Greg Gard’s team is obviously trending downwards, but a golden rule of mine is to never doubt experience in the NCAA Tournament.

On the other hand, the Bonnies are playing great basketball. The regular-season champion out of the A-10, St. Bonaventure has a date with VCU in the championship game on Sunday. Like the Badgers, Mark Schmidt’s squad has great experience too. Their five primary players are all juniors, so watch out next year, but this current team has a run in them too. Kyle Lofton in the backcourt provides uncanny leadership and Osun Osunniyi is one of the best rim protectors in the country. His game reminds me so much of Hassan Whiteside’s.

Like I said at the beginning of this, this game may be boring to the majority of people. However, if you like defense and team basketball, this is the game for you.
