Oklahoma State Cowboys vs. USC Trojans

Now this would obviously be a second-round game on Sunday or Monday, but a matchup between what certainly seems like the first two draft picks in next year’s NBA Draft would be awesome television. It gives me Michael Beasley verse O.J. Mayo vibes from 2008. Cade Cunningham against Evan Mobley would be appointment television. Oklahoma State is destined for a 2/3 seed, while USC is right around that 6/7 line.

Oklahoma State is surging right now. It’s more than just Cade Cunningham, as Isaac Likekele, Avery Anderson III, and Kalib Boone are all playing at high levels. Defeating West Virginia was very impressive but taking down Baylor in the Big 12 Tournament makes this team on high alert. Mike Boynton has done an amazing job in Stillwater.

USC is 22-7 on the season. Three out of those seven losses have come against Colorado. The PAC-12 bias for some people would seem that this team could be an early exit, but they have more than just Evan Mobley too. Tahj Eaddy is a good guard who can shoot the lights out. Ask UCLA. Eaddy hit a game-winning three with about a second to go. Evan Mobley can go off at any time, and if he gets some support, the Trojans can be Sweet Sixteen bound.

The top two players on draft boards would make an Oklahoma State-USC matchup a heck of a matchup for fans, but also some scouts and executives around the NBA.
