Good 8-seed vs 9-seed Matchups

We can debate at length on things that the Selection Committee got right and wrong, but the one thing for certain we can all agree on is to thank them for these four 8 vs 9 matchups.

You could make the argument that LSU vs St. Bonaventure is the “Game of the Round of 64” while North Carolina vs Wisconsin is not too far behind. Oklahoma vs Missouri and Loyola-Chicago vs Georgia Tech will also be must-see good games to start the tournament.

The star power will also be on display for these matchups as well. Cameron Thomas, Trendon Watford, Austin Reaves, Jose Alvarado, and more, these 8/9 matchups have it all.

Now while obviously, the #1 seed will be the favorite in a Round of 32 matchup against whoever wins the 8/9 matchup, it will not be a 100% given win for top-seeds this year. Plain and simple, these 8 vs 9 matchups are all must-see and could be some of the best games of the opening weekend.
