NCAA Tournament 2021: Michigan, Alabama headlines East Region
By Adam Childs
The NCAA Tournament is upon us and right now all basketball fans can take a collective sigh of relief. We made it even though it was a rough journey, it looks like we will have the big dance. A year after we lost the tournament and a lot of other sporting events, we get back possibly the best three weeks in all of sports.
Sunday night’s bracket reveal was the start of what should be some exciting basketball, and a spot we weren’t sure we were going to get to. Through pauses and rescheduled games and even some arguments on who should be conference champs, we have made it to the finish line and 68 teams are headed to Indianapolis to chase a national championship.
Gonzaga, Baylor, Illinois, and Michigan took home the one seeds of the 2021 tournament, but there are a bunch of teams that have shown they have a shot at making it to the Final Four.
As we preview the East one of those teams is sitting on the two-line in Alabama. Texas and Florida State are also lurking as teams that could make a run. Overall it is a very solid region and one that should have a lot of great games.
We have to wait an extra day for the games to get started, but it shouldn’t take away from the excitement of the tournament. But before we get to the opening tip, we dive deep into the East region and give you a preview of what you should be watching out for.
