The 2020-21 season hasn’t even reached the NCAA Basketball Tournament yet, but the transfer market is already hot. One of the big names that have entered the transfer portal so far is George Washington wing Jamison Battle.

The sophomore is coming off an excellent season for the Colonials. Last season, Battle averaged 17.3 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. He’s also a solid three-point shooter, hitting 35.4 percent of his attempts last year.

So far, five players from George Washington have announced their intention to leave the program. Clearly, something is amiss for the Atlantic 10 school. But their loss of Battle will be the gain for another program.

It will be easier to find programs that won’t be interested in Battle than to find ones that will be. His market should be very robust and some teams are already working on wooing him for the coming years.

Jeff Borzello reports that Marquette, Nebraska, Arkansas, Tennessee, Arizona, Loyola Chicago, and Cincinnati already reached out. Those are the public names going for Battle on just his first day in the transfer market and some of those teams make logical sense as a destination for Battle.

Among his accomplishments last year, Battle earned A-10 Player of the Week for the first time in his career, hit six three-pointers en route to a career-high 29 points in a game against Duquesne in January, and validated his A-10 All-Rookie selection from a year ago.

Who else should be targeting Battle? Here are eight teams that should consider vying for his services.
