A big reason why March Madness can be so crazy at times is the betting. The NCAA Tournament provides an opportunity for a lot of betting as there are anywhere from 15-16 games throughout the day constantly on.

Yes, the action never stops during the Round of 64, making betting very popular, especially during the First Round. Let’s take a look at a few “Best Bets” during Friday’s Round of 64 action at the NCAA Tournament.

Georgia Tech vs Loyola-Chicago Over 124.5 and Loyola-Chicago To Cover -5.5

In what may arguably be the best game of Friday’s action in the Round of 64, this game has the potential to be close throughout with a late run being the difference.

Both of these teams are good offensively as the Yellow Jackets average 75.5 PPG and the Ramblers average 71.5 PPG. Yes, the Ramblers have the #1 defensive in the country only allowing 55.5 PPG to opponents this season, but Georgia Tech has the star power needed to score against the tough Ramblers defense led by Jose Alvarado, who averages 15+ PPG on 50+% shooting from the field.

As said previously, this game will most likely be close throughout with a potential late run being the difference. I believe it will be the Ramblers making the late run, partly due to Georgia Tech’s inability to contain Loyola-Chicago big man Cameron Krutwig who should dominate this matchup, especially with Georgia Tech’s Moses Wright now out for this contest.

Yes, the Ramblers’ defense is elite, but both teams should easily surpass the O/U total of 126. Loyola-Chicago has all the pieces capable of making a similar run in the NCAA Tournament as they did a few years ago and should cover the spread of -5.5 and win by somewhere around 7-9 points.
