The best part of the season for basketball fans is upon us, the NCAA Tournament. The spectacle of 68 teams striving for one thing – to cut down the nets and raise the banner. Let’s have some fun today and go over the five best hairdos of players in the tournament, anything from a 16-seed play-in down to a one seed. After all, it’s a fun time, so let’s have some fun. The top five hairdos of the NCAA tournament, in no particular order.

Jason Preston, Ohio Bobcats

The Bobcats are a 13 seed facing off against the Virginia Cavaliers. The die-hard hoops fans will know Preston from the performance where he almost single-handedly won the game himself. Preston has a nice afro on the top of his head that’s become a signature look. The curls going every which way and he doesn’t seem to have any intention of going afro-less.

Preston should keep the hair throughout the Bobcats’ entire tournament run (should they make a run). It’s how he’s known, and as the face of Ohio’s program, it can become a rally item of sorts.

Tyger Campbell, UCLA

If you consider the play-in games as part of the tournament, then Campbell counts. If you don’t count it, then, well he’s still on this list anyway. He might have the best hair in this whole tournament. Looking at it, you understand why his name is Tyger.

It’s a thick afro that runs down the side of his head too. Have you ever heard somebody say “That’s a mop of hair.” That’s what Campbell’s looks like, and it looks great. The Bruins play Michigan State Thursday night in the last play-in game.

Tre Gomillion, Cleveland State

The Vikings are a 15 seed and will face Houston in the Round of 64. The one thing that catches your eye will be Tre Gomillion. The long, luscious, thick flowing locks will be hard to miss. He is a defensive specialist and will be on Quentin Grimes, so fans’ eyes will be locked on him most of the game.

Gomillion may have the best hair in the whole tournament, and it definitely helps his performance. With a head of hair like that, it will only impact you positively on the court. If Cleveland State can pull the massive upset then fans will get to see more of him. Keep an eye on him, you won’t regret it.

Tre Mann, Florida Gators

We’re getting to the more recognizable ‘dos in the nation now. The Gators are a seven seed and will take on the Virginia Tech Hokies tomorrow. Mann also leads Florida in scoring, so expect the ball in his hands quite a bit. Like Preston, Mann has a bit of an afro but he has it dyed blonde/orange in the front.

Certain players have signature features about their look, and this is one of them for Mann. The Gators are a balanced team that can win a few games, and Mann’s look will become an identifiable feature for any College Basketball fan.

Ayo Dosunmu, Illinois

The Fighting Illini are a 1-seed and will face Drexel. You knew Ayo would be here, what can’t he do? He can literally take over games, as seen when he scored his team’s final 21 points in regulation against Nebraska and then every bucket in overtime to avoid the colossal upset.

A common theme on this list has been afro’s, and Dosunmu is no different. His hair is going every which way all over his head, and with as good as he is, he doesn’t have time to care!

Strengths/weaknesses of top 16 teams. dark. Next

It’s a great look, and fans will be able to recognize it even from the bench. The potential player of the year will lead his team on a deep run, so get used to seeing this.
