Continue to Shoot Well from Behind the Arc
Liberty is one of the best three-point shooting teams in the country. They not only shoot them a lot they make a good percentage of them too. Liberty is 12th in the country in three-point attempts as they shoot around 26 threes a game. They are very efficient with their shooting beyond the arc hitting 39% a game good for sixth in the country.
Ritchie McKay has a multitude of shooters to work with too. Darius McGhee shoots 41% from three and we all know how hot he can get as I mentioned earlier. A-Sun defensive player of the year Elijah Cuffee shoots 41% from three while the other forward Kyle Rode shoots 38% from three. Keegan Mcdowell comes off the bench and can also stroke it shooting it at a 40% clip. To round it out freshman guard Drake Dobbs shoots 45% from three.
Oklahoma State could make this difficult for LU though. OSU has one of the best three-point defenses in the country, as the Cowboys have only allowed teams to shoot 30% from three on average this season. The ability to make three-point shots is the majority of Liberty’s offense and they must do that if they want to pull off an upset here.
