Liberty will try and slow down the perennial No.1 pick in the NBA Draft

Cade Cunningham has been a monster this year for Oklahoma State. The superstar freshman has averaged 20 points, six rebounds, three assists, and one steal on 45% shooting. Cunningham has also won a slew of awards this year. He won Big 12 Player of the Year, Big 12 Freshman of the Year, and was named to the AP All American First team.

Cunningham has the Cowboys playing their best basketball at the perfect time of the year. The Cowboys were 8-2 to finish the season with wins over West Virginia, Baylor, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma who are all-tournament teams.

As of right now, it looks like that A-Sun defensive player of the year Elijah Cuffee will get the assignment on Cunningham. Luckily for Ritchie McKay, Cuffee is one of the best defenders in the nation. I think Cuffee will slow down Cunningham but not be able to stop him.  Then for Liberty, you have to address who will get the assignments Isaac Likekele and Kalib Boone. That will all be a challenge for the Flames.

I think the Flames will challenge the Cowboys on Friday. If Liberty wants to win they need a big day from Darius McGhee and Elijah Cuffee to upset OSU.
