Bob Huggins Resume

900 wins

25 NCAA Tournament appearances 34-24 tourney record (including 2021)

21 Conference Titles (regular season and tournament)

C-USA Coach of the decade (2005)

Big 12 Coach of the year (2015)

Next up for the Mountaineers are the Syracuse Orange, former Big East rival. Huggins and the Mountaineers are very familiar with the Orange and will be looking to improve the school’s 16-28 record (since 1950) against Syracuse.

Not to get ahead of things but this team doesn’t have the toughest path ahead if they can get through Syracuse. They’d likely be looking at a matchup with Houston or Rutgers in the Sweet 16 and then likely Illinois or Oklahoma State in the Elite 8.

If this team can win five more games and bring the first-ever national title back to Morgantown it would mean more than it could possibly be explained to the state of West Virginia and Mountaineer fans all over the world.

Chills. Absolute chills just thinking about that.
