March Madness 2021: 6 biggest takeaways from Round of 64 action

High Seeds Avoid Upsets

While there were a fair amount of upsets in the Round of 64, there was potential for many more.

There were numerous highly-seeded teams that were in trouble at times during the Round of 64. While Alabama, Kansas, Florida State, Villanova, and Creighton all won their First Round matchups, these teams struggled at times as well.

While one could over-react to these performances, don’t. These teams will bounce back in the Round of 32. Expect big bounce-back games in the Round of 32 from Alabama’s John Petty, Florida State’s Scottie Barnes, and MJ Walker in particular.

While these five high seeds avoided the annual March Madness Round of 64 massive upset, there were a few teams that were not so fortunate. Speaking of that……
