Kentucky Wildcats

After a disasterous season, the Wildcats are revamping the roster, particularly in the frontcourt. Olivier Sarr is moving on and the team already has West Virginia center transfer Oscar Tshiebwe for next year, along with top-30 forward Daimion Collins. They could still use some more frontcourt help, especially on offense.

Kessler would be a nice addition for Kentucky and could potentially pair with friend and fellow transfer Justin Powell. The Wildcats are rumored to be a frontrunner for him so this could very well end up as a package deal.

Ohio State Buckeyes

The offseason for the Buckeyes started earlier than expected after the upset loss to 15 seed Oral Roberts. They didn’t have senior big man Kyle Young for the game and unless he uses the extra year, will be gone. The team will need to add more frontcourt help, this offseason and currently is targeting five-star prospect Efton Reid.

If that doesn’t work out, expect Ohio State to be in the portal looking for a starting caliber big man. Kessler would be a great option and assuming every other non-senior returns, would also be joining a preseason top-3 team for next season.

Right now, it looks as if Gonzaga has the best odds currently to land Walker Kessler. But things could very much change depending on what future NBA Draft and transfer portal moves are made in the next few weeks. But there’s a real chance that one of these eight programs will eventually land this five-star talent.
