Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Let’s just say that Kessler does want to go back home and get plenty of playing time, but still wants to be part of a more competitive roster. Why no Georgia Tech? These are rivals but not necessarily the same as Georgia vs Florida or Alabama in football, so the family may not be too opposed to this move.

The Yellow Jackets are coming off an ACC Tournament win and NCAA Tournament appearance, thanks to the stellar play of reigning ACC Player of the Year Moses Wright. And like Kessler, Wright started his college career out slow before developing into a star. And with Mike Devoe likely coming back and a top-20 incoming recruiting class, Kessler can slide in at the five and continue where Wright left off.

Gonzaga Bulldogs

The Bulldogs are riding high right now. They’re undefeated and a clear favorite to win the national championship. Their history of development is shining on the biggest stage, including breakout sophomore star center Drew Timme, coming off a career-high 30-point effort against Oklahoma. They’re also rumored to be the favorite to land No. 1 class of 2021 big man Chet Holmgren.

If Holmgren does join and Timme comes back for his junior season, that would create a problematic logjam for Kessler for next season. One potential option would be for the former Tar Heel to redshirt and take a year off but would a five-star talent looking for minutes be willing to do that?
