Oregon Basketball had a comfortable 95-80 win against Iowa. Their athleticism was too much while they pulled away from Iowa in the 2nd half. Iowa gave up lots of dribble penetration against Oregon’s guards. The Ducks shot 44 percent from three and had four players score at least 17 points.

Defensively, they let Luka Garza get his own he scored 36 points on 14-20 shooting from the field. But they did a really good job on almost everyone else, outside of Garza and Joe Wieskamp the rest of the team was 4-31 from the field.

Oregon now takes on a fellow PAC 12 team in USC. The Ducks have only played the Trojans once losing 72-58. Tahj Eaddy played well scoring 24 points and Drew Peterson played great contributing 15 points and 11 rebounds.

The Trojans are coming off a blowout 85-51 win against Kansas where they may be played their best basketball of the year. USC was red hot from three shooting 11-18 from distance. The Mobley brothers were great contributing 27 points 21 rebounds and four blocks.

USC also held Kansas to below 30 percent from the field and 25 percent from the three-point line.

It’s gonna be a really interesting matchup, USC is huge and I could see them maybe mixing up their defenses but Oregon is a pretty good shooting team ranking 14th in the country. Oregon wants to generally drive and kick and shoot three’s it’s gonna be interesting to see if the size of USC bothers them around the rim. USC has been inconsistent this year because they don’t have much three-point shooting outside of Eaddy.

I expect this to be a close game, USC is one of the worst free-throw shooting team’s in the country ranking 328th in the country in free throw percentage. I think that bite’s them and Oregon wins.
