The Michigan basketball team is looking to make their third Final Four trip in the last eight years when they take on UCLA on Tuesday night in Indianapolis. A win would set up a potential Final Four matchup with top overall seed Gonzaga next Saturday night.

The Wolverines dominated the bigger Florida State Seminoles in the Sweet 16 in route to another Elite Eight appearance. Michigan will face UCLA who upset the high-powered Alabama Crimson Tide in overtime.

The Bruins are the 11 seed in the East Region and had to pull out an overtime victory against Michigan State just to get to the first round. But since then they have taken care of BYU, Abilene Christian who upset Texas, and then the Crimson Tide.

It has been a great run for the Bruins and one not many people saw coming. Michigan’s run isn’t surprising but one a lot of people thought wouldn’t happen.

The Wolverines had struggled at the end of the year and then lost Isaiah Livers to a foot injury and it looked like they could easily get upset before getting this far. But Michigan has looked just as good during the tournament and has shown why they got the number one seed in the region.

UCLA may have more all-time trips to the Final Four, but the Wolverines are the ones who have had more success in the last ten years. They hope to continue that success and earn another trip to the Final Four, but before we get to the game let’s take a look at three keys for the Wolverines to get past UCLA.
