1. Shut down UCLA from deep

In the Bruins, four tournament wins they have hit at least seven three-pointers in each game. In their upset win over Alabama, they hit 10. Overall they shoot almost 37% from deep and it is the key part of their game.

The Wolverines, on the other hand, are one of the best defenses in guarding the three-point shot and they need to continue to do that if they expect to win. They can not let the Bruins get hot from deep.

UCLA hit some ridiculous shots against Alabama which was forced by some good defense by the Crimson Tide. It shows that they don’t need a lot of space to hit those shots.

You wouldn’t expect those shots to continue to fall like that, but they can hit them. Michigan needs to force them into those types of shots that are worse and really make them work their offense.

They like to chuck it from deep and if the Wolverines can limit their open looks and their makes they could run away with this game.

UCLA has struggled at times and when those shots aren’t falling they are very vulnerable. Michigan has been very successful in this tournament in guarding the perimeter and this game needs to be the same.
