35. Nimari Burnett – Texas Tech

2020-21 stats: 5.3 ppg and 1.8 rpg

The highest-rated commit in Red Raider history only lasted 12 games this season with the team before deciding to transfer out. There were signs of promise for Burnett with a coming of double-digit scoring games off the bench. However, he made just 4/23 from deep and made just 28% of his field-goal attempts during his short stay.

Burnett has been in the portal for a while and a decision is reportedly set to happen soon, with programs such as Illinois, Tennessee, and others involved. A change of scenery could be what’s needed to unlock his potential but not many players flame out at Texas Tech with Chris Beard at the helm.

34. Stanley Umude – South Dakota

2020-21 stats: 21.0 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 3.0 apg

Umude went from a really good player in the Summit League to a mid-major star this past season, leading South Dakota towards the top of the standings. The 6’6 guard scored in double figures in all but one game, including a career-high 41 points in a win over South Dakota State. The senior had 30+ points four other times and made 36% of his three-point shots despite having such volume.

Umude likely won’t be averaging 20+ ppg if he transfers up to the power conference level and he certainly won’t get getting nearly 20 shots a game. But this is a talented and pure scorer that will be a double-digit addition wherever he goes, potentially following former teammate Matt Mooney to Texas Tech.

33. G Armaan Franklin – Indiana

2020-21 stats: 11.4 ppg and 2.1 apg

The sophomore guard is coming off a breakout season for the Hoosiers as a starter, averaging double figures and making over 40% of his three-point shots. Franklin had three games of at least 20 points and as mentioned, is a major threat from deep.

Franklin won’t be the biggest name mentioned on the portal but at 6’4 with a good ability to play defense, can be a solid “3 and D” addition for whichever power conference can land them. Or, he can return to Indiana as well.

32. F John Harrar – Penn State

2020-21 stats: 8.8 ppg and 8.8 rpg

After losing their entire starting frontcourt from the offseason prior, Harrar stepped up admirably and was a solid big man for the Nittany Lions. He had 12 games of double-digit rebounding games, while also producing five double-doubles.

Is Harrar a starting-caliber center for an NCAA Tournament team? Likely not. However, the senior transfer would be outstanding depth off the bench if he wants to go that route or could be a star at the mid-major level if one of the better teams can land him.

31. G Micheal Weathers – Texas Southern

2020-21 stats: 16.5 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 3.5 apg

Weathers started his career all the way back to 2016 at Miami of Ohio, where he had an outstanding freshman campaign. But he’s had a difficult journey since, having to transfer twice and sit out on two different occasions due to offseason issues.

But there’s no question the talent that the guard possesses, with a raw scoring ability and can play both on and off the ball. Power conferences likely will stay away but Weathers can elevate the right mid-major team right to the NCAA Tournament.
