The 2021 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament will resume on Friday with four teams remaining.

The NCAA women’s basketball Final Four will take place on April 2 and April 4 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.  The 6th-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks (26-4) and No. 2 Stanford Cardinal (29-2) get things started at 6 p.m. (ET) with the top-ranked UConn Huskies (28-1) and the No. 11 Arizona Wildcats (20-5) are slated to get underway. ESPN will televise both contests.

Here are 16 players to watch during this weekend’s event. The players’ stats are for the four  NCAA Tournament games unless otherwise noted.

16 T. Ashten Prechtel, Stanford

2020-21 stats: 9.0 PPG, 3.0 APG, 1.2 BPG, 4.5 RPG, 14-24 FGs, 7-12 3pters

Prechtel was fantastic against Louisville, scoring all 16 of her points over the last 20 minutes to help the Cardinal overcome a 10-point halftime deficit. Pretchel comes off the bench and has only seen 16 minutes of action over the last four games, but when the 6-5 sophomore forward is in the game, she is highly productive and provides instant offense.

16 T. Laeticia Amihere, South Carolina

2020-21 stats: 11.0 PPG,2.5 BPG,  8.0 RPG

The 6-4 sophomore has been surprisingly aggressive during the NCAA Tournament on both ends of the floor. Amihere, who swatted away nine shots against Texas, has scored in double-figures in three of the Tournament games and has grabbed 32 rebounds, with 10 coming on the offensive end. She has also improved her efficiency, connecting on 19 of 32 shots (59.3%) and 6 of 8 (75%) from the charity stripe. Turnovers continue to be an issue as she has committed 16 in San Antonio.

15. Cate Reese, Arizona

2020-21 stats: 10.2 PPG, 6.5 RPG

Reese hasn’t shot the ball particularly well in the NCAA Tournament (17-39), except for the opening game against Stony Brook, though she has done a good job of spacing the floor with her shooting, knocking down 5 of 8 shots from beyond the arc. She has also done a fairly good job on the offensive boards with 10 rebounds on that end.
