Duke, Alabama, and Marquette among options for transfer Noah Gurley
The Furman Paladins have been on of the top teams in the Southern Conference for the past several seasons, thanks to talented upperclassmen that leads the respective rosters. For this year, the star of the team was Noah Gurley, that has been an all-conference performer and an elite mid-major player.
Gurley was inserted into the starting lineup right out the gate as a freshman, averaging 8.8 ppg and 3.6 rpg with all-freshman honors. The 6’8 power forward become a more focal point of the offense in hie sophomore campaign, going for 14.3 ppg on 54% shooting, a first-teamer in the conference overall.
As a junior, Gurley’s offense became even more well-rounded. In 25 games played this past season, the forward was second on the team with 15.4 ppg, while also averaging 5.8 rpg and 2.5 apg. He even averaged a block and a steal per game as well. Gurley’s offense exploded down the stretch, putting up an average of 26 ppg in the final four games of the season.
Gurley has always been a quality two-way player in a very competitive conference such as he SoCon. But recently, the junior forward has elected to enter the transfer portal, making him one of the most sought-after players this offseason.
As expected, many power conference teams immediately reached out to Gurley. And now we know which specific programs will be involved.
