Gonzaga Basketball looks to finish the season unbeaten against Baylor
We are finally here we made it to the 2021 national championship game where the best two teams in the country the whole year will face off in Gonzaga Basketball and Baylor. The Zags will try to go 32-0 and try to be the first undefeated team in college basketball since the 1976 Indiana team.
Gonzaga beat UCLA in one of the greatest basketball games in recent memory 93-90 on Jalen Suggs banked 35-footer in overtime. Joel Ayayi and Drew Timme were great as well for the Zags combining for 47 points and 20-27 from the field.
They face Baylor who beat Houston 78-59 and shot 45.8 percent from the three as a team. The Bears is the number one three-point shooting team in the country and has four players in their rotation shooting 40 percent from three or higher.
Davion Mitchell might be the Bears’ best player and is probably the best defender in the country. His nickname is “off night” and is shooting 45 percent from behind the line. Jared Butler was a first-team all-American and is an incredibly smart player. MaCio Teague is another nice guard along with Adam Flagler. Matthew Mayer is a nice player off the bench who has the ability to score in bunches.
This is gonna be an incredible game, Gonzaga and Baylor were 1A and 1B for most of the season and it’s awesome after their game was canceled that they are gonna be able to play in this game.
I think Baylor is gonna try to put Timme and Corey Kispert in ball screens and try to take advantage of them there. Where Gonzaga is gonna be able to handle Baylor’s pressure and feed Timme in the post. You can expect the score to be in the 80’s or 90’s.

It’s gonna be an incredible game, I’m 50-50 who I think is gonna win but I have to go with Gonzaga; I have picked them the whole year but I know we will see a great game.
