March Madness 2021: Top 10 moments from NCAA Tournament
By Adam Childs
The Baylor Bears cut down the nets for the first time in school history, but the best part was that we got to see the NCAA Tournament after missing out on it last year. We missed a lot of sporting events due to COVID, but the one that hurt the most was missing March Madness.
The tournament went off without barely a hitch (we only lost one game in the first round) and we were rewarded with some great games and even better stories. We got the title game we were all hoping for and a bunch of upsets before that.
The tournament was unusual in the fact that we played on different days and it was in one central location, but it didn’t take away from the pay on the court. It may have been tough on the players and coaches being in a bubble and playing in front of only a handful of fans, but they made it through the best that they could.
It was what we needed after a weird year, but one that saw an undefeated regular season, a couple of teams come out of nowhere to win their conferences (Alabama and Michigan), and another who used a run a conference tournament run to make another in the Big Dance (Oregon State).
It was a fitting end to a memorable season, one we won’t soon forget.
The dust has barely settled and we have already started talking about next year, but before we get that far let’s take one last look back at a memorable tournament and go through the ten best moments of the tournament starting with a buzzer-beater.
