20. G Boogie Ellis – Memphis Tigers

2020-21 stats: 10.2 ppg 39% three-point shooting

After two years and 42 starts with Memphis, it’s safe to say that he’s not a superstar with clear-cut NBA potential. But if you take away his expectations out of high school, Ellis has been a solid role player and contributor for Memphis, winning AAC 6th Man of the Year and scoring 23 points to win the NIT title game over Mississippi.

Ellis isn’t going to be a game-changer as an automatic starter but he’s an athletic guard that can shoot nearly 40% from three-point range. If he stays at the power conference level, look for Ellis to potentially go to the Mountain West to get back to a starring role. San Diego State could be a very good landing spot.

19. G Jalen Coleman-Lands – Iowa State Cyclones

2020-21 stats: 14.3 ppg and 3.9 rpg

The 6’4 guard is going to be playing his 7th season in NCAA Basketball after dealing with injuries and sitting out a year. Coleman-Lands is coming off his best statistical year yet, second on the team in scoring making 40% from three-point range on 6.5 attempts a game.

The guard produced on an awful Iowa State team so it’s not likely that he’ll be going for 15 ppg at the power conference level on a team that has any level of talent. But Coleman-Lands is as consistent as they come as a double-digit scorer and can be an effective starter anywhere. The ceiling may not be high but the floor certainly is.
