18. G Rollie Worster – Utah State Aggies

2020-21 stats: 9.1 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 3.5 apg

It was impossible for Utah State to replace star guard Sam Merrill in the backcourt but they did have a nice surprise in freshman guard Worster. He started off strong with seven double-digit scoring games in the first 10 games of the season but only had three in the final 16.

Worster still has promise as a capable combo guard and has four years of college eligibility left, which will make him a valuable commodity. With consistent scoring improvement, Worster will be a multiple-time all-conference performer.

17. F D.J. Jeffries – Memphis Tigers

2020-21 stats: 9.9 ppg, 5.1 rpg

Like Ellis, Jeffries has been between the starting lineup and the bench while at Memphis. When the sophomore forward got moved back during this past season, there was clearly an adjustment. Jeffries did come on in the final six games of the year, scoring in double figures five times and had 15 to beat Mississippi State in the NIT title game.

At 6’7, Jeffries is a combo forward that doesn’t shoot much but is a 36% three-pointer shooter when he does take it. He’ll have to go to a spot where a coach can put him in a great position on offense, whether as a starter or reserve. How he’s viewed may determine his suitors in the next couple of weeks.
