Ever since the buzzer rang and the Baylor Bears hoisted up the National Championship, the countdown to the 2021-22 NCAA Basketball season began.

In the young offseason, we have seen some of the most surprising coaching changes. This year’s coaching carousel has been one of the most active in recent years.

Any program with a new coach in charge is always interesting to watch the following season. These changes just make next season already so exciting to watch.

From legendary UNC coach Roy Williams retiring to former Texas Tech coach Chris Beard joining the Texas Longhorns, we have gotten a lot of college basketball news in the past two weeks.

Another interesting story across the college basketball world is the recent hiring of Mike Woodson as the next coach of Indiana. Woodson, an alumnus of Indiana, was serving as an assistant coach of the New York Knicks this season before being named the Hoosiers’ next coach.

The most recent story came from the Arizona Wildcats. The Wildcats hired Gonzaga chief assistant Tommy Llyod who will serve as their next coach. Llyod was connected with the team and the job behind closed doors even before Sean Miller was fired on April 7th.

Through all the news and changes at the head coach position that have occurred, we can definitely shift our attention to several teams looking to make a push for the tournament come March.

Now that all of the sixty major coaching positions have been filled across the seven major conferences, here are the ten best coaching hires of the offseason so far.
