CJ Felder – Boston College

2020-21 stats: 9.7 pts, 5.9 rebs, 45.9% FG%

In his two seasons at Boston College, CJ Felder started 35 games and last season showed a nice progression from his freshman year. Not only did his offensive numbers improve, but the growth he showed on the defensive end was even more important. The 6-7 230lb. forward showed serious flashes of what he could do offensively last season.

He scored 18 in the Eagles’ third game of the year, then in a one-point loss at Duke Felder had a career-high 24 and late in the year he poured in 17 against Wake Forest, unfortunately, all three performances came in losses. If the stocky forward can continue his growth, the Gators may have found a bit of a hidden gem for the frontcourt.

In his second year at BC, he saw a slight increase in playing time, and by looking at his numbers, the bigger role was deserved. He nearly doubled his defensive rebounds per game, up to 4.6 and he became more of a force in the defensive lane blocking over two shots per game. Yes, his points went up to 9.7, but he also shot 45% from the field and he began to stretch the floor a bit and develop a dependable three-point shot, hitting on 31%, which is an added aspect that Omar Payne didn’t have in his game.
